Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our friendly, patient-centered clinical team for the following shifts:

  • Inpatient Services
  • Full Time

  • Day Shift (7AM-7PM)

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RNs have an incredibly important role at HVCH. We need exceptional, hard-working RNs to ensure our patients receive the best possible care and treatment during their stay at the hospital.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.

  • Under general supervision, plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care and functions within the organization, in accordance with established philosophy.

  • Initiate and implement patient education and care plans.

  • Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders and administer medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.

  • Display concern, initiative, original thinking, and creativity.

  • Meet challenges with resourcefulness and generate suggestions for improving work.

  • Develop innovative approaches and ideas while presenting ideas and information in a clear manner.

  • Work effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assist in the orientation of new employees.

  • Adhere to HVCH's 5 Fundamentals of Service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associates's degree at minimum, but a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • RN license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

  • Current BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.

Staff RNs are a central part of a small interdisciplinary team of clinicians. Work alongside and support technicians, other nurses, dietitians, social workers, physicians and the center manager.
