Registered Nurse RN

Inpatient Rehab Med/Surg Floor

The Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Program at Northeast Georgia Medical Center is a CARF International- accredited 18-bed unit within the Gainesville Hospital. Having the CARF accreditation signifies that we conform to internationally recognized service standards and are focused on delivering the best results for our patients. In addition, we are active members of The American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA). Our AMRPA membership gives us access to resources to continually improve our services. We support and finance our nurses in the attainment of their Certification of Rehab Nursing.

The patients we serve have experienced a significant medical event that required hospitalization and has resulted in loss of function limiting their ability to return to home. Typical diagnoses include stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, spinal cord injury and multi- trauma. Our purpose is to provide the necessary therapies (physical, occupational, and speech), medical management, patient and family education, equipment and other types of support to enable a safe, successful discharge to home. The usual length of stay is 2-3 weeks.

Playing an integral role in this leading program is the highly skilled team in Rehab who deliver expert care to our patients every day. A career in our Inpateint Medical Rehabilitation department offers our RN's the opportunity to work in an environment that provides cutting edge innovations in the industry.
