POSITION SUMMARY Assist the Clinical Director with maintaining Policies and Procedures for the Infusion Clinic. Individual must possess strong clinical skills and the ability to assess and carry out treatment plans for patients who have been referred for Infusion Therapy.
Strong IV skills are critical as well as expertise with PICC lines, central lines and PORTs. Responsibilities include direct patient care including the initiation and maintenance of IV therapies as well as patient and family education. Strong documentation skills and an ability to address all components of established criteria for a particular disease are mandatory as well as solid computer skills.
Individual should be able to communicate well both orally and in writing. If a claim results in a denial, individual will assist in preparing the required documentation to challenge the denial. Must be willing to help cover ancillary clinics as needed.
A culturally and linguistically diverse patient population is served including all age groups. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Arkansas RN license or licensed in a state that has enacted the RN/LPN NLC, and CPR. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION A minimum of 5 years general nursing experience is required.
Ideal individual will be able to creatively problem-solve. Additional skills needed include solid nursing skills including phlebotomy, IV insertion and management of all forms of IV access devices. Individual must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time, communicate effectively with outside departments, and must practice good infection control procedures. Licensure as an RN in the state of Arkansas and CPR is mandatory.
