Responsibilities About Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in Henderson, NV, this acute care hospital offers emergency care, surgical services, including an outpatient surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services, including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, outpatient wound care and a freestanding emergency department.

It is accredited as both a Chest Pain Center and Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Henderson Hospital has also been honored by The Leapfrog Group as a Top General Hospital in 2018 and 2019; a Top Teaching Hospital in 2020; and earned the "A" Patient Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group during its last six award cycles. The hospital opened in 2016, with a new six-story patient tower currently under construction.

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.

Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Qualifications FULL TIME Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent.

BSN preferred. Experience: One (1) year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course. License/Certification:

Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification (Adult patients). Current PALS certification (Pediatric patients) or current NRP certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Other certifications as may be required by facility, specialty or department.

Other: Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. Note: An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX.

The RN graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. An interim RN license must be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
