Seeking a Registered Nurse for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

  • You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions

  • You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions

  • You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results

  • You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders

  • You will check rooms daily for necessary supplies

  • You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)

What Qualifications you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required

  • 1-3 years experience as a registered nurse is preferred

  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.

Clinical coordinator / supervisor of direct care staff and the provision of nursing services. Assists in planning, directing and monitoring services, groups and activities to ensure quality patient care and safety and compliance with applicable rules, policies and procedures. Serves as direct supervisor to Lead LPNs in Forensic Residential. Provides formal, direct supervision to Lead LPNs via regular weekly supervisory sessions and written correspondence, as needed. Documents provision of supervision in competency files. Ensures appropriate supervision and direction for all other staff under his/her line of authority. Works an alternate shift (night, weekend) for direct observation and to promote continuity across shifts with policy/procedural implementation at least one time per month. All shifts must be worked at least once monthly or as required by Director of Residential. Oversees daily activities of direct care staff including nursing care and treatment, medication administration, admissions/discharges, and supervision of residents. Oversees program compliance with applicable medication management, medication storage, laboratory specimen, biomedical waste transfer, and narcotic control policies and procedures. Conducts ongoing review and audit of program case files, consistent with Center standards, to ensure compliance with Agency policy, C&F rules, Joint Commission standards and third party payer expectations. Oversees completion of required weekly/monthly nursing documentation, MARs, Verbal/Telephone Order documentation, and annual assessments through Clinical Review Checklist and random audits. Reviews and approves admission/annual nursing assessments Organizes program staffing for effective and economical use of time, personnel, and materials. Ensures that work schedules and unit activities are implemented in accordance with established procedures, plans, and protocols. Oversees Lead LPNs time and attendance in accordance with Agency policy. Ensures accurate and timely completion of timesheets. Provides nursing coverage on the unit as needed. Education and Experience: Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Rate of Pay: $29.00/hr QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: * Five years of professional nursing experience, one of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. * Previous experience in psychiatric / substance abuse settings preferred Licensure or Certification: * Licensure as a registered nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464. * Maintain current CPR and CPI certifications.
