West Oaks, located in southwest Houston, is a fully accredited 160 bed acute care facility and 16 bed adult CD residential facility dedicated to the provision of quality care and assistance for individuals and families in need of psychiatric care and treatment for substance abuse.
West Oaks Hospital offers the community a broad range of inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults. We also offer residential adult chemical dependency services. West Oaks Hospital is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any questions or inquiries about our programs.
West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. Purpose: To provide direct patient care under the direction of a Charge Nurse for adults, adolescents, children and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions or House Supervisor.
Responsible for using the Nursing process to effectively manage the Plan of Care for each patient based on appropriate standards, policies and procedures. Management of each patient also includes appropriately and effectively delegating patient care duties to other members of the nursing team in order to assure optimal patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for continuing his/her own professional development to enhance practice and the profession of Nursing. Actively participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team of the unit and performs duties as assigned.

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing either through ADN, Diploma or BSN Program.
Required: Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR AND hospital de-escalation certifications.
