Currently seeking Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) for a contract opening in San Leandro, CA. This is a per diem contract assignment with 8-hr P.M. shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a current CA Nursing License and have at least 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience as an RN.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER):

  1. Current Resume
  2. CA Nursing License
  3. A nursing degree from an accredited nursing program
  4. Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience as an RN
  5. Current BLS and/or ACLS and/or Specialty Certifications
  6. Two current clinical references
  7. Must be able to pass background/urine drug screening
  8. Knowledge of state and federal regulations

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER):

  1. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  2. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
  3. Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  4. Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
  5. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
  6. Director supervises less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervises a particular unit.
  7. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  8. Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
  9. Instruct individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth and develop health
  10. improvement programs.
  11. Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
  12. Prepare education patient on discharge instructions
  13. Setup/monitor / titrate IV drips including sedation, neuromuscular blockade, and vasopressors
  14. Setup/monitor invasive monitoring systems including arterial and central lines, and ICP monitoring systems
