The Emergency Department at Hartford Hospital, a tertiary care teaching hospital, is seeking experienced nurses for a unique position.

The EDIP RN will be responsible for providing care for emergency department patients that are admitted and awaiting bed placement within the hospital. The EDIP RN will provide care for a diverse patient population, allowing for RNs to further advance their skills and knowledge, as well as their abilities in emergency care.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN degree required; ASN/ADN RNs with relevant experience may be considered.

• Licensure: Current Connecticut RN license required prior to start date.

• Experience: Previous acute care RN preferred, however new graduate RNs who are passionate about Emergency Medicine are welcomed and encouraged to apply.

• Certifications: BLS certification by American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
