Number of beds: 24
Scope of Service: The major diagnostic groups include: 24hr Chest Pain Observation patients, immediate pre-and post-invasive cardiology patients (i.e., cardiac cath, PTCA, stents, and DCA procedures), stable ventilator patients and those patients no longer meeting critical care criteria. These patients are in need of continuous EKG monitoring or a higher acuity of care than that of a general medical-surgical unit or Telemetry.

Patient Population: The populations served are adults and geriatrics.
Services Provided: Sheath management, ventilator management, and telemetry monitoring.
Major Equipment Used: Telemetry monitors, IV pumps, Ventilators
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
Current Florida State Registered Nurse license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) through American Heart Association required
