Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract to Perm Hire RoleSpecialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colmar Manor, MD! Our friendly and experienced team will ensure you are in good hands moving forward! Salary Range: Local Candidates: $50-$53 hourlyTravel (more than 50 miles): Inquire for pay packages
Hours: 5x8-hour shifts- 40 hours weekly- No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
Physical Setting: Outpatient facility
EMR: NextgenEssential FunctionsWe are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for immediate placement in our Vascular Access Center, located in Colmar Manor, MD (Washington DC area). The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, and cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus.Experience, Education, Certifications and Requirements:

2 years RN experience preferably in dialysis, critical care, medical/surgical or ambulatory surgery
Current RN license in state of practice

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Associate's or Bachelors degree in Nursing
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook

Works with others in a cooperative and supportive manner
Displays patience and compassion in all patient interactionsJob Overview/Requirements:

Provides ongoing patient information to the interventionist and clinical team during procedures to deliver vascular access care to the patient including but not limited to cardiac monitoring, aldrete score, pain status. Monitor patient vitals (HR, BP, O2Sat, EKG) during procedures
Assist in recovery room patient care following vascular access procedures

Gather patient clinical information prior to procedures including patient assessments and patient history
Maintain up-to-date narcotic drug log

Maintain clear and accurate patient medical record
Communicate with dialysis facilities to monitor post-care as directed by center manager

Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and assist in transporting patients within the center
