Registered Nurse (Rn) Clinical Supervisor, Pacu

UC Health is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the PACU Department, First Shift (Hours Vary) at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

This 30 bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit specializes in Phase 1 recovery for general anesthesia cases throughout the hospital. As the region's only Level 1 academic trauma center, we specialize in the treatment of complex neuro, ENT and trauma cases.

Other surgeries and procedures are diverse and include Cath Lab/EP, IR and ICU level of care patients. Phase 1 recovery focuses on airway maintenance, breathing, hemodynamic stability and pain control.

The Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor assumes the responsibility for ensuring excellent patient care is being delivered, maintaining expeditious patient flow with a focus on customer service, and supervision of nursing staff. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will provide input on staff evaluations and complete evaluations for their regular staff cohort.

The Clinical Shift Supervisor will also assist with cost containment and manage all employees to do the same. The position requires knowledge of leadership and effective interpersonal communication skills.
