Career Growth Opportunities Job Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide nursing care for AveraHome patients following the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. The nurse assumes responsibility for the outcome of nursing care provided to patients in their homes or in facilities. The nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care for the population served.

Education and/or Experience Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration License as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota may be required depending on the service area.

If required, must obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position or of the requirement. This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier. Work Schedule 8:00am-5:00pm with wknd/hol/call rotation; 64hrs/2wks Weekend rotation: every 5-7 weekend Holiday rotation: 1-2 holidays per year Call rotation: 1-2 week nights a month Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
