Chippenham's Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit:
12 Bed Intensive Care Unit
Specializing in care for immediate post-op coronary artery by-pass patients, valve repair/ replacements, MAZE procedure patients
Have begun TAVR program
Setting up LVAD program
Receive and place ECMO
Receive acute vascular patients such as endograft AAAs (abdominal aortic aneurysm)
Handle thoracic endograft aneurysm cases
Along with aneurysm cases our nurses recover carotid and peripheral vascular cases
Our cardiac group also performs VATS procedures and lobectomy procedures
What will you do in this role:
As a Registered Nurse you will deliver patient-centered nursing care and participate in patient/family education.
You will work collaboratively with ancillary staff and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
You will promote a supportive, team-work oriented environment.
You will participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety and quality of care.
You will maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, and much more.
