Qualifications for RN:

  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse - RN

  • A valid New York nursing license in good standing

  • Current CPR certification

  • Good organizational and communication skills

Education:

  • Home Care experience is helpful, but not a must

  • Excellent training is available

Responsibilities:

  • Assessments

  • Training and education of family members

  • Medication administration

  • Administration of prescribed treatments and therapies

  • Communication with other members of the patients' multi-disciplinary team

  • Supply management

  • Emergency management

You will: * Function in reciprocal Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model. * Provide clinical support to staff members, and assist with management of a caseload of Medical Oncology patients experiencing issues/complications. * Perform patient assessment and provide symptom management. * Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of Medical Oncology treatment and follow-up. * Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum. * Participate in an individualized training/orientation program geared to providing nursing care in ambulatory setting.
