Registered Nurse, RN, ATC Cardiology

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients served and collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes for the Cardiology Practice.

Essential Functions:

• Monitors and manages Coumadin for patients

• Acts as liaison between ATC physicians and primary care physician offices.

• Ensures physicians have information necessary to provide exceptional care.

• Greets, escorts and interviews patients and prepares exam rooms for physician.

• Reviews daily incoming office and ancillary study reports, enters into the EHR for physician reviews and follows up with office physician as necessary

• Utilization of computer to gather information, review patient data and schedule appointments.

• Review of medications and prescription requests, including notification of need for appointment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:Nursing Diploma minimum requirement.

Associates degree or BSN preferred

Over 6 months to 1 year physician practice RN experience required

Licenses and Certifications:Registered Nurse in PA - Licensed, Upon hire, required

Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, preferred
