The Registered Nurse provides patient care utilizing the nursing process in an inpatient setting. The 1NW Adolescent Unit at Spring Harbor Hospital specializes in the care of adolescents. We offer a 14-bed unit designed for the care of children, generally at the ages 12-20 years old, who require acute mental health treatment. Typically, these patients are an imminent risk to themselves or others, or are unable to function at a lower level of care due to their psychiatric symptoms. Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents.
