Overview

The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.

  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 2 years of experience preferred.

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Then working as Registered Respiratory Therapist at Ball Memorial Hospital is the perfect opportunity!</p><p>Preview a day in the life of a Respiratory Therapist at IU Health.</p><p>Our Respiratory Therapists (RT) work closely with our patients to evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders ranging in modalities and demographics. We are also responsible for collaborating with various different entities in the hospital setting including nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists to ensure total customer happiness and support.</p><p>Outside of working with groundbreaking technologies and therapies, our RTs get the opportunity to grow their medical knowledge and skills. They do this by working closely with patients and team members to build personalized therapies. This includes continued education and certification opportunities and tuition reimbursement.</p><p>Requires current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.</p><ul><li><p>Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.</p></li><li><p>Requires that the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam be passed within 13 months of hire date. The 13 month requirement for the RRT is void if hire date is one year past graduation date.</p></li><li><p>Requires Healthcare Provider Certification.
