GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Provides patient care to patients undergoing Radiology Interventional procedures, including pre-procedure work up, patient monitoring, conscious sedation as required, and assists with post procedure recovery. Coordinates this care to ensure safe, effective, efficient patient centered care.

Communicates effectively with the Radiology team and other department personnel. Provides nursing support to patients in all areas of Radiology as needed to include but not limited to, IV placement, patient assessment and monitoring. Performs these duties to ensure that patients and their families are satisfied with their care.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience with Interventional Radiology and at least one year of experience with quality and data analysis strongly preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent RN license required BLS & ACLS required.

• Strong analytic skills.

• Ability to work with a variety of personalities and disciplines.

• Proficient in Microsoft programs including Excel.
