The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for:

The ideal candidate for the Registered Nurse (RN) position will be compassionate, caring and experienced in developing/implementing the plan of care for each patient, making recommendations for patient interventions, and collaborating with other health care providers to deliver care and document outcomes. The successful candidate must promote safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays.

Graduate of an Accredited Program required

Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required

Job Function The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients with a broad range of illnesses. The RN is responsible for daily operations in the Cardiac Cath Lab, admission/assessment of patients, medication administration, direct and indirect patient care, circulating diagnostic and interventional cases, hemodynamic monitoring and scrubbing cases. Other departmental duties as assigned, such as: ordering supplies/maintaining inventory, providing appropriate information towards future needs and actively supports process improvement within the Cardiology Department. Maintains an active marketing profile for the facility and physicians. Maintain professional standards and seeks professional growth. Providing care to patients ranging from adolescence, adult to geriatric, utilizing in accordance with the medical staff within the organizational structure, philosophy, and goals and objectives of the Cardiology Department and Round Rock Medical Center.
