Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Full Time 7a-7p

The RN provides efficient, evidence-based quality nursing care to Baptist Health Paducah (BHP) Emergency Department (ED) patients. To ensure appropriate and efficient assessment, planning, and organization of the care provided to patient assignments in the ED thus promoting optimal patient outcomes, efficient throughput and increased collaboration with the ED team.

Job Description

• Included, but not limited to, assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions.

• Able to appropriately identify the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.

• Assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.

• Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working in a positive and cooperative manner with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

• Creates a positive environment and exhibits excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
