We're looking for someone to join our team as a RN who:

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Essential Functions:

  • Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.

  • Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

  • Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.

  • Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualification

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree (BSN): Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required

By providing nurse case management services for Workers' Compensation claims, you will strategize with claim professionals to assess and manage medical and disability exposure and return to work opportunities. This is an office based position with preferred location in Rocklin, Glendale or Orange, CA. Responsibilities: * Manage assigned caseload of claims (including Workers' Compensation claims). * Communicate with injured employees, medical professionals, claims staff and others to obtain information necessary to make sound medical assessments regarding diagnosis and prognosis. * Assess injury severity, extent of disability, treatment plans, functional abilities and physical job requirements to establish target return to work plans and/or strategy to manage future medical exposure. * Respond to various written and telephone inquiries regarding status of case and post case facts in Liberty Mutual Insurance claims system. QUALIFICATIONS: * 3 to 5 years clinical nurse experience with a preference for previous orthopedic, emergency room, critical care, home care or rehab care experience. * Degree from an accredited nursing school required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. * Current unrestricted registered nurse (R.N.) license in the state where the position is based and other assigned states as required by law. * Strong communication skills in order to effectively communicate with claimants, medical professionals, employers, claims staff and others. * Good negotiation skills to establish target return to work dates and manage medical and disability treatment plans * Proficient in basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Outlook and Office * Comfortable in a professional business environment * Good negotiation skills to effectively establish target return to work dates. * Bilingual is a plus.
