Registered Nurse Patient Navigator Oncology Full Time Days BHS

Up to $10,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN Summary Under general administrative direction, the Registered Nurse / RN coordinates referrals from physicians and health care facilities for patients; provides a significant level of patient education related to their illness and planned treatment. Registered Nurse / RN is responsible for guiding the patients with cancer DRGs through the complex care continuum.

Assures patients receive care that consistently follows evidence-based standards and is in accordance with regulatory standards as defined by the regulatory agencies. Registered Nurse / RN interacts with community resources and develops relationships with service providers to enhance the patient experience and eliminate barriers to successful completion of care. Registered Nurse / RN facilitates administrative activities to support the center and staff in achieving goals.

Registered Nurse / RN completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Education Required:

Associates Degree from accredited school in Nursing Preferred: Bachelors of Science in Nursing Experience Required: 3 years clinical experience in oncology nursing Preferred: Prior patient teaching Certifications Required:

Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse Preferred: Specialty Certification as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Required Courses/Completions (e.g. CPR): BLS–Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
