Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Provides nursing care to ensure the safety of the patient.
Directs and assists in carrying out safe aseptic, sterile techniques, and procedures.
To perform various tasks as an OR circulator.
Assumes responsibility that the OR is prepared for the patient.
Assist in transporting patient to OR and checks patient record for appropriate pre-op preparation and procedures.
Verifies that appropriate surgical prep is completed.
Completes documentation for OR records, laboratory requisitions, and patient chart
Supervises and assists with the proper and safe positioning of the patient.
Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts
Takes ownership for all surgical specimens properly.
Secures emergency equipment and supplies as needed.
Provides assistance to teammates, surgeons, and anesthesia.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Good communication skills that promote safe patient care.

Qualifications

Education

Required:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current licensure in the State as a Registered Nurse
Must be current in BCLS
ACLS/PALS certification within six months of hire date (applicable to scope of service)

Education

Preferred:

Computer literacy
BSN Degree

Experience:

Previous work experience in an ambulatory surgery setting or acute hospital operating room of no less than one (1) year.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: <ul> <li>Oversee and perform all functions associated with leadership and oversight of a retail medical marijuana dispensary operating under licensure from the Florida Department of Health.</li> <li>Provide excellent customer service to all patients while also coaching other team members. </li> <li>Respect all team members and report all findings to the appropriate manager. </li> <li>Administer routine inspections to maintain the accurate inventory of all cannabis products.</li> <li>Manage and supervise the activities of dispensary staff(including patient liaisons, dispensary technicians, schedulers, and receptionists), and make recommendations or decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees.</li> <li>Ensure that all Procedures are updated in store to provide the best practice for staff and patients</li> <li>Train dispensary staff to ensure a consistent performance and knowledge base of company standard operating procedures, a comprehensive understanding of all marijuana and marijuana-infused or derived products being sold to patients, and best practices for dispensary personnel.</li> <li>Ensure Key performance Indicators are captured </li> <li>Manage daily financial reporting requirements and oversee all cash handling procedures.</li> <li>Develop and maintain a schedule of all dispensary staff</li> <li>Communicate any patient incidents or high-risk complaints to the Operations Director or compliance team.</li> <li>Protect patient rights by overseeing the employee HIPAA education program and ensure each employee is maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of protected health information and financial information.</li> <li>Oversee patient education and counseling programs.
