Full time: .9 FTE (36 hours per week)

Weekend Premium: Days 7a-7p - Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana is looking for Registered Nurses (RN) to join our Oncology team! We offer robust welcome bonus along with relocation bonuses for eligible candidates. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Oncology Department, you play a key role in helping our patients and caregivers through a most difficult time in their lives. Our nurses form long lasting relationships with families that carry on for many years! Our nurses offer compassion and comfort while supervising the care for our patients through monitoring their physical conditions, educating and supporting patients and their family, as well as administering chemotherapy, managing side effects and assessing ongoing needs. You will work as a team to help coordinate the complex treatment protocols and manage symptoms and side effects.

Job Summary:

• Under the immediate direction of the unit Director/Nurse Manager/Lead Charge or other designated clinical management as assigned, provides for the delivery of safe, effective patient care and develops expertise in the care of a specific patient population/nursing diagnosis.

• Registered Nurses may be trained to fulfill Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned. The Charge Nurse Orientation and Competency will be completed prior to assuming charge duties.

MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) within 7 days of hire

Experience:

• No specific experience required.

Education:

• Completion of a nursing program diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
