Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Cornell 2- our MedSurg Unit! This is a full-time day shift position in Charlottesville, VA.

Cornell 2 : Cornell 2 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for a diverse patient population with a specialty in post-operative care, sepsis, neuro and oncology. We also do Epilepsy Monitoring to rule in or out a seizure disorder. This unit has a 1:5 average ratio and is very new grad friendly!

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program

  • Registered Nurse License

  • Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

  • Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License

Sentara considers you a new graduate RN if you are about to graduate or have graduated and have less than one year of practice. Qualified students will be graduating or have graduated from an accredited nursing program. All new graduate RNs are automatically enrolled into our Residency Program upon hire.

Job Summary

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
