Registered Nurse - Stamford, CT (#R10003)

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to fill an opening within a Government Facility located in Stamford, CT. 

Schedule of the Registered Nurse:

• This is a Part-time position.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:

Clinical Services:

• Provide nursing services during clinic hours in the Department of Health Clinic.
• Conduct intake, assessment, and provide comprehensive care for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) in accordance with CDC guidelines.
• Deliver Tuberculosis (TB)-related care following official CDC and state guidelines.
• Conduct screenings for infants, school-age children (6 weeks to 18 years), and adults.
• Evaluate and refer patients for additional medical interventions as necessary, ensuring appropriate follow-up care.

Health Promotion and Education:

• Promote primary preventive health care services and educate patients about treatment, disease prognosis, medications, and follow-up care.
• Engage patients and families to reduce STD and TB infection rates, increase immunization rates, reduce pediatric lead exposures, improve nutrition, and manage chronic diseases.
• Educate parents and guardians about childhood developmental milestones and provide anticipatory guidance.

Community and Professional Collaboration:

• Link clients to appropriate community services.
• Develop and conduct training programs.
• Collaborate with diverse organizations, nursing administration, public health nurses, and the City Medical Advisor to fulfill local, state, and federal mandates.
• Participate in ongoing public health initiatives and maintain compliance with current grants and contracts.

Administrative Duties:

• Submit required reports, including reportable diseases.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assist in data collection and reporting to support Department of Health operations.

Other Duties

• Perform related duties as assigned by the Department of Health.
• Ensure compliance with cultural sensitivity and respect for all clients.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Connecticut Nursing License
• Must have a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint) and knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR).

Benefits

• The salary for this position is $50 - $60 / hour.
