We also offer the opportunity of flexible scheduling.
The Geriatric Admissions Unit provides treatment for patients 60 years and older. While most of the patients in the unit have confusion and/or disorientation associated with dementia, there are others with persistent mental illness.
Although patients are usually ambulatory, many suffer from age-related physical illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, or cardiovascular disease. Most require some assistance with their basic needs. The objective of the unit is re-motivation, reorientation, and rehabilitation of patients to return them to their community and families.
The Medical Psychiatric Unit (MPU) is a unit for the treatment of psychiatric patients with physical illness who cannot be managed on a general psychiatric unit due to the nature and severity of the medical illness. Patients are admitted to this unit from other hospital units.
The primary goal of the MPU is the stabilization and treatment of the patient experiencing an acute medical problem. Registered Nurses on this unit receive ACLS training/certification.
The Adolescent Unit is a 22-bed unit which serves individuals from the age of 12-17 admitted to the hospital. Theobjective of the adolescent unit is a multidisciplinary crisis stabilization, focusing on various psychiatric illness and behavioral challenges.
The goal for this unit is to achieve a life beyond inpatient hospitalization and transition back into the community.
The Adult Acute Admissions Units, consists of three patient care units, two male and one female. This unit's objective is for adult multidisciplinary crisis stabilization, with a focus on various psychiatric illness and behavioral changes. Patients transition from the AAU to the Independent Transition Unit (ITU).
Our Independent Transition Unit (ITU) is seeking Registered Nurses who desire to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Our ITU consists of four adult patient care units, three male and one female. Patients transition from the Admissions Units to the ITU with goals to achieve a life beyond inpatient hospitalization and transition back into the community.
These positions supervise licensed practical nurses as well as health care technicians to ensure safe and quality care delivery. The primary focus of this position includes but is not limited to providing active programming and ensuring safety of our patients, which is driven by individual patients' treatment plans.

The Registered Nurse is also responsible for medication administration, assessment, ensuring the safety of our patients, therapeutic engagement, and many more rewarding opportunities.
