The centers will serve our community with a free standing Emergency Department along with an Urgent Care. Responsibilities

Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Basic Computer Skills

  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State

  • American Heart Association BLS Certification

  • American Heart Association ACLS certification

  • Professional certification in area of specialty Pediatric Life support (PALs) obtained within 90 days of hire

Preferred:

  • Two years recent ED experience
  • BSN

POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed.
