About this position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing compassionate quality care that is customer and family focused. The RN assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care of customers according to hospital and care center policies and standards of professional nursing practices. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered. The RN defines, implements, and improves practice standards and environment of care while promoting exceptional customer care. Duties may vary based on the assigned customer care center which may include differences in the required specific clinical skills. Actively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.

Requirements

Education

SPECIFIC EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION:

  • Current licensure and registration as an RN in the State of MN.

  • Current BLS certifications required.

  • NRP

  • STABLE

  • AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course (one time only) must obtain within 1 year

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

  • Internal Applicants - minimum of two years RN FBC hospital experience required in any of the combined populations of NICU, L&D, PP
  • External Applicants - minimum of two years RN hospital experience required in any of the combined populations of NICU or L&D

Licensure/Certification

  • Current licensure and registration as an RN in the State of MN. Current BLS certification for all areas of nursing practice required.

  • Current certification required for the following areas of nursing practice:

  • Emergency Care Center

  • ACLS, TNCC, PALS
  • Intensive Care Center & MSCC Lead
  • ACLS
  • L&D - NRP, AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course (one time only) - Experienced L&D nurses will obtain within 6 months and new L&D nurses will obtain at 1 year of experience
  • NICU- NRP, STABLE (one time)
  • PEDS - PEARS
  • PCC/PACU/ENDO
  • ACLS, PALS
