$106,980 - $127,512 Annual Range

The Registered Nurse (RN), CF, under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II, CF is responsible for providing basic nursing care to inmates incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. This includes assessments, triage, scheduling, patient education, and emergency response coverage.

Performs Health Care related duties consistent with the RN Scope of Practice. A detailed duty statement is available upon request.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued an Order on August 19, 2021 which requires workers working in a healthcare setting at all local and state correctional facilities and detention centers be vaccinated against COVID-19. Therefore, all workers identified under the CDPH Order are required to either be vaccinated or submit a medical or religious accommodation. While working through either of these interactive processes, staff shall wear an N95 mask and test twice-weekly (with at least 72 hours between each test) until they comply with the August 19, 2021 CDPH Order.

Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California is required, please include your license number on your submitted Employment Application (STD. 678).

Recreation Therapists within our health care system must meet the professional codes noted below: Per Business and Professions Code Section 17505.2 (a)(1) and (a)(2): (a) It is unlawful for a person to represent himself or herself as a recreation therapist, to represent the services he or she performs as recreation therapy, or to use terms set forth in subdivision (c) in connection with his or her services, name, or place of business, unless he or she meets all of the following requirements: (1) Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in recreation therapy or in recreation and leisure studies with a specialization in recreation therapy. Alternatively, a person who does not have one of the preceding degrees may qualify if he or she has a baccalaureate degree in a specialization acceptable for certification or eligible for certification by any accrediting body specified in paragraph (2). (2) Current certification or eligibility for certification as a recreation therapist by the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification or by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification, Inc.
