  • Registered Nurse CCU/ICU (Mount St Mary's Hospital):

The Registered Professional Nurse assigned to the CCU/ICU is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, based on the areas of clinical practice. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital/staff information. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of Mount Saint Mary's Hospital and to incorporate the Hospital's goal of: Quality care, in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

  • BSN preferred

  • RN Licensure in New York State

  • Must possess current BLS within sixty (60) days from time of placement

  • Must have current ACLS within twelve (12) months from time of placement

Experience Requirements:

  • One (1) year of recent CCU/ICU and/or Emergency Room experience as a Registered Nurse

VIEW JOBS 12/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-11T00:00 * Registered Nurse Infusion Therapy Coordinator - Home Care Pharmacy Infusion (Catholic Health Infusion Pharmacy): The Registered Nurse Infusion Therapy Coordinator is the home infusion resource and collaborator for physicians, case managers, nursing staff, and managers for appropriate home infusion referrals. Facilitates the planning and transfer of infusion patients from the acute care and rehab setting to home care. Assists with establishing IV therapy for the patient that has remained in the community in lieu of hospitalization. Communicates with Intake to verify insurance coverage for home infusion services. Speaks to all referral sources, gathers information, inputs information into the computer system completing the intake process. Supports the chronically and acutely ill patient who is at high risk of hospitalization. Ensures the coordinated development, implementation, and continual monitoring of a program to meet the comprehensive needs of cardiac, enteral, and infusion therapy patients. Coordinates services and follows the patient along the continuum of care and works with all disciplines involved to keep the patient home. REPORTS TO: Director of Infusion Pharmacy SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM): EDUCATION: * Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, college or university required * BSN preferred * Licensure and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required. * PIC Certification preferred EXPERIENCE: * Minimum one (1) year relevant experience required * One (1) year experience performing veni-puncture and infusion therapy * One (1) year experience with central catheters and PICC lines * Certified Home Care experience preferred * Critical care experience preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: * Knowledge of rules and regulations governing certified home health agencies. * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Computer skills required, i.e., software appropriate to position, word, excel * Ability to prioritize * Strong assessment skills required * Ability to multi task * Technical expertise in initiating and maintaining peripheral and central lines.
