To deliver competent care and create a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex by utilizing the nursing process. To carry out functions in a manner consistent with Performance Improvement and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Exhibits growth through regimented mentorship and orientation to the facility and standards of nursing practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  • BSN strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • New graduate or less than 9 months nursing experience.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

This is a per diem position. Responsibilities 1 Plans, evaluates, directs and renders care according to established standards of care 2 Incorporates evidenced based best practice into everyday clinical activities 3 Performs medication reconciliation and administers medications safely and appropriately using the 5 rights of medication administration, leveraging technology and pharmacy resources 4 Recognizes and performs nursing interventions to maintain the body's homeostasis (acid-base balance, fluids and electrolyte imbalances, wound and tissue perfusion) 5 In accordance with standing Emergency Department medical protocols and standing orders; enters orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition, communicates same treating provider 6 Maintains accurate, detailed clinical nursing documentation, reports and records 7 Within the scope of nursing practice, provides oversight of nursing care activates of ancillary nursing/healthcare teams member 8 Demonstrate flexibility, practice and collaboration to cross train in other departments 9 Consistently utilizes clear, concise, professional communication in all interactions including; with patients, families, between disciplines, inter-departmentally and with outside agencies * Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred * Experience: One (1) year of Emergency Nursing experience preferred.
