Stamford Hospital Labor & Delivery unit is seeking a full time nurse to join the team!

Duties: coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit. Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role. Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested. Adhere to all Stamford Hospital's policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program. Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture.

Schedule: 3 nights per week (7:00pm-8:00am), rotating weekends and holidays

Required Skills

  1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  2. Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut

  3. BSN strongly preferred

  4. BLS certification required

  5. Minimum of one year acute hospital nursing experience required; 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience highly desirable

Stamford Hospital is seeking a proactive and flexible individual to join the Employee Health Department as a full time Licensed Practical Nurse and assist with maintaining the health and well-being of Stamford Health employees. This position is a split role with a focus on both clinical care and administrative duties. Clinical responsibilities include evaluating new hires for medical clearance, checking vital signs, assisting with mask fittings, administering injections/vaccinations, preparing for lab draws, setting up for physical exams, administering PPDs, and urine drug test collection. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering calls, scanning medical documents, performing inventory and ordering of medical supplies, and assisting with front desk coverage as needed. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8A-4PM; Fridays 7:30A-3:30PM Required Skills 1) Current Connecticut LPN license required. 2) Must be actively pursuing a Diploma or ADN (or higher). 3) Basic computer literacy required. 4) At least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or office setting (Primary care experience preferred). 5) 1 or more years of recent experience in occupational health or employee health preferred. 6) Phlebotomy certification preferred.
