The Registered Nurse (RN) at Baptist Health South Florida is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service.
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service.
The RN ensures quality and appropriateness of care for all age groups in the unit specific patient population in include neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates an ability to incorporate knowledge of patient's age, growth and developmental level into the provision of care.
Graduate of Registered Nurse program with an active Florida RN license required. BSN degree preferred.
One year prior experience in a Cardiac Tele acute care setting required. Knowledge of cardiac drips and ability to read and interpret arrhythmia strips a must. . Prior Admissions Recovery Unit, Pre and Post Procedure, PACU or Critical Care experience preferred. Certification in area of practice preferred.
Life Support Certificate (BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS) as per department standard. BLS and ACLS required. Additional Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). RNs hired prior to 10/1/2017 are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN. RNs hired on/after 10/1/2017 with an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) have five (5) years to complete the BSN.
