A professional registered nurse responsible and accountable for providing nursing care to patients and their families by utilizing the nursing process, and in accordance with standards identified by The American Nurse's Association, and The Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses Association. The registered nurse is expected to provide primary nursing care for patients and to assume responsibility for nursing process by assessment, plan of care, intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

EXPERIENCE

2-3 years med surg experience required. Previous GI endoscopy experience required within the past 5 years. Experience in an Ambulatory Care Unit and infusion center preferred.

LICENSURE

Current RI license/registration, BLS Current certification ACLS and PALS certification.
