• Under minimal supervision, reviews and screens the recommended admission cases at Henry Ford Health Network emergency rooms.

• Combines clinical and regulatory knowledge and skill to reduce significant financial risk and exposure due to inappropriate admissions.

• Collaborates with ER physicians, physician advisors, attending physicians, social workers and third party payers relating to initial screening reviews.

• Through continuous assessments, problem identification and education, facilitates the quality of health care delivery in the most cost effective manner.

• Position: 36 hours per week

• Shift: Midnights 12 Hour Shifts

• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations

• Benefits: Full time benefit package

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BSN required.

• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience required.

• Previous utilization management or case management experience preferred.

• Registered Nurse with a valid, unrestricted State of Michigan license.
