Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients and their families in a safe environment.
Accountable for effective leadership and direction to the nursing care team ensuring patients' comfort, safety and personal care. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations. Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a union position.
Education required to take and pass the California Board of Registered Nursing State licensure examination. Preferably has or actively working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or allied health field.
Experience: Clinical experience must enable the applicant to pass required clinical competencies with in six months of hire. Licenses/Certificates: Current California Registered Nurse License.
Current BLS Certification through AHA required. NIHSS Certification required. Current ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
Position requires at least 1 year of ICU experience. Experience with post operative open heart patient preferred
