To deliver nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the oncology clinic utilizing the nursing process. Functions as a professional nurse and delegates patient care to those under his/her supervision.
Review and fax over insurance authorization forms for verification and approval. Make patients appointment after insurance verfication are completed.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
EXPERIENCE: Previous medical/surgical-oncology experience preferred.
LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice professional nursing in New Jersey.
Completion of I.V. certification, Phlebotomy certification and Chemotherapy competency as per hospital policy. Maintain current American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider and maintain current American Heart Association certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. Must have taken and passed ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course.
