Responsibilities Play an integral part in menu and recipe development as well as appropriate upkeep of the Food Pro and/or prevailing food management system, including input of ingredients, nutrition facts and allergen data for inventory items analysis and approval of recipes, and menu management. Work with purchasing to include allergen free sections of C Stores.

Lead the Grab & Go nutritional labelling. Plan and implement effective nutrition programming in collaboration with purchasing & culinary teams to develop resources to support nutritional education efforts in accordance to HIPAA, American Disabilities Act (ADA) and FERPA guidelines. Partner with Sustainability to bring in local farmers and other vendors.

Develop a student team to participate in nutrition education. Collaborate with the culinary team on cooking classes.Supervise part-time student staff and dietetic interns. Provide support to students with nutritional counseling requirements and/or concerns and/or special dietary needs.

Teach how to navigate our websites and on campus dining as part of student education. Serve as a liaison and foster collaboration with other campus professionals and departments. Work with Dining leadership in collaborating with the University of Texas Nutritional Institute to highlight UHD and Longhorn Hospitality nutritional programs.

Advise on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations mandated by local, state, and federal agencies related to food safety, health, labeling, food allergies, and nutrition. Staff training to include Allergen and Serve Safe Training. Conduct quality assurance audits and Food Safety Audits of food service programs and dining operations.

Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or similar field. At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

At least 2 years of experience providing nutrition services and education. Registered Dietitian American Dietetic Association. Ability to complete and maintain University Housing and Dining Food SafetyTraining and or ServSafe.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree. At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

At least 3 years of experience providing nutrition services and education. Experience working in a University setting. Experience with Food Pro or similar food management system.
