The Registered Dietitian integrates the clinical aspects of dietetics, weight management, corporate and community wellness and performance fueling to provide empowered nutritional care, programming and education to the Twin Cities Orthopedics community.
Full-time role, Monday
Friday, 7/8am
5/6pm + some weekend events out of our Edina, Burnsville, Eagan, Maple Grove & Woodbury locations.

Essential Functions:
Provide individual therapeutic outpatient nutrition counseling in an orthopedic setting to support patient and client health, activity and wellness goals
Implement and conduct individual, small and large group nutrition and wellness programs related to weight management, medical nutrition therapy, activity and sports performance, pelvic health and digestive, disordered eating and general health initiatives
Collaborate with internal and external parties to develop and implement solutions for nutrition consultation and education needs
Introduce self and programs throughout the organization; develop meaningful relationships at multiple clinic sites
Foster community relationships relating to nutrition services with partners who share the organization's core values; remain active in community projects and outreach initiatives.
Participate in strategy development and implementation of nutrition-based weight management, digestive health and/or performance nutrition programs
Provide marketing and discussion of nutrition programs to providers internally and externally
Developing, evaluating, revising, and organizing educational materials, classes and teaching materials. Able to utilize electronic and audiovisual systems for education purposes appropriately.
Communicate regularly (multiple times per month) with MDs/physical therapy managers and interdisciplinary team to best implement high quality, collaborative nutrition programs
Possess an authentic desire to make a difference in the lives of our clients and community
Ensure goals and strategies of TCO are implemented in the growth and development of nutrition services
Practice within the scope of MN State rules/regulations
Monitor payments, attendance, and accountability reports for programs
Work within set budgets for equipment/supply purchasing
Maintain safe environment for patients and staff
Participate in community functions relating to outreach events throughout the year
Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from institution credentialed by Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics and (ACEND) required
Completed ACEND accredited supervised practice program
2+ years of clinical, corporate wellness, or weight management experience as a registered dietitian; additional sports nutrition, eating disorder, women's health experience preferred.
Attained and upheld Registered Dietitian (RD, RDN) credentials through Commission on Dietetic Registration. Minnesota dietetic licensure (LD, LDN) within 1 month of hire date.
Certifications relevant to degree (Master's/PhD, CDR board certifications preferred)

Convey dietetic profession with confidence and positivity in interdepartmental collaborative settings
Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
Apply dietetic care and body composition assessment according to evidence-based patient centered scope of practice guidelines.
Complete job required training.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
Work in the clinic during business hours, and extended/ hours for events and programs
Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Understand and execute a variety of instructions
Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
Work independently with minimal supervision
Travel to other work locations, if required
