Registered Dietitian

Description:RESPONSIBLE FOR:Assesses the nutritional status of geriatric, adult, adolescent and pediatric patients.Develops and revises an evidenced based nutrition care plan to meet patients nutrition needs.Provides nutritional support to patients receiving enteral or parenteral nutrition

Educates patients and family members to ensure understanding of appropriate nutrition needs to support illness, promote recovery and improve function

Participates in multi-disciplinary rounds, committees and support groups

Acts as preceptor to nutrition interns

We strengthen our communities through award-winning care for patients and award-winning workplaces where our team members thrive.IND789LI-POSTGDQualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and DieteticsMeets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and is currently credentialed (required prior to starting)MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Entry Level - Minimum one (1) year work experience as a dietitian preferred.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Current Licensure in the State of GA as a DietitianADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration).
