Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Clinical Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a 186 bed acute care facility located in Palmdale, CA.
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager the selected candidate will:
Be a Registered Dietitian with at least one year of experience in an acute care setting
provide nutrition-related expertise in the interdisciplinary team management of all patients and clients
Provide nutrition care and accurately assess patient's nutritional status, identify nutritional risk, develop plan of care and evaluate outcomes to patients with a variety of disease states
provide nutritional education to patients and their families, dietary plans and food selection
Consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions as needed.
Have experience with electronic patient charting experience using Cerner and having a Serve-Safe Certificate would be a plus
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skill

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..
