Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Clinical Dietitian (0-1 year experience) at Oconee Memorial Hospital an acute care for 40 hours per week.

Oconee Memorial is located in Seneca, SC and is surrounded by beautiful mountain trails, lakes and outdoor activities. This position will be the primary clinical dietitian for a 160 bed acute care facility (usual census around 90).

The clinical duties are shared with one other RD (the CNM). This position will require great communication skills and interdisciplinary care for all patients. The weekend and holiday rotations will be on-call and shared with the CNM. Experience would be beneficial as we are a smaller facility and the positon is very independent, but not required.

This candidate will be a vital member of the healthcare team and is directly responsible for nutrition related assessments and process improvements.

Must be licensed in South Carolina before starting.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

  • Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

  • Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..
