Registered Dietician

Maple Crest Health Center is looking for a part-time Registered Dietician (RD) to join the team! As a Registered Dietician you'll be responsible for ensuring that the food and nutritional needs of the residents are met in accordance with the physician orders and to the extent medically possible. You'll provide quality nutrition services including, but not limited to, screening, initial assessment, re-assessments, nutrition counseling and education, therapeutic diet calculations and calorie counts. You'll develop appropriate nutritional care plans and dietary interventions. While implementing dietary plans, religious, cultural and ethical factors will be considered when completing assessments and creating the plan of care for each individual. As a Registered Dietician a critical part of your position will be to participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings, attend and participate in care plans with residents and their family members, and communicate the nutritional plan of care with the interdisciplinary team. You will also assist the Director of Dining Services in the development of policies and procedures relating to the nutritional care of residents.

• Part-Time, 16hrs per week

• Pay starts at $28/hr and goes up based on experience

What You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or related field

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association License or Certification as mandated by the state of Nebraska

• MUST demonstrate a positive attitude, self-awareness and emotional maturity necessary to promote helpful, respectful and supportive communications with all interdisciplinary teams.

• Experience in Long Term Care and geriatric nutrition preferred
