Position Summary

The School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo in the Department of Restorative Dentistry is seeking applications for a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive and therapeutic treatment and instruction of General Dentistry patients in oral self-care techniques

• Deliver appropriate, efficient and effective patient-centered treatment

• Provide patient education

• Recognize the need for further professional consultation and possible referral

• Conduct administrative/operational tasks

• Instruct and demonstrate clinical procedures to students

Minimum Qualifications

• NYS Registered Dental Hygienist License
• BLS/CPR certification by time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse populations, and attention to detail

• At least five years of experience

• Experience with hybrids and implants

Physical Demands Salary Range $48,750 - $60,000 Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
