SCHEDULE: Full Time; Monday- Friday; 8am-5pm
PAY RANGE: $27.72/hr. to $33.88/hr.

JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Dental Assistant works with the dental program team which consists of a dental director, dental program administrator, dentists, volunteer dentists, volunteer interns and full-time dental assistants. The Dental Program clients are primarily low income, non‑English speaking, Denti‑Cal recipients or uninsured. CommuniCare Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive patient-centered primary care services including medical, dental, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health and outreach services to low income, multi-ethnic, uninsured and underinsured populations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
KNOWLEDGE OF WORK
1.
Excellent knowledge of dental record keeping and charting
2.
Required to have the ability to deal effectively with and provide excellent customer service to a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and with external customers
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Attend dentist with four-handed dentistry as needed.
2.
Take necessary x-rays and process films.
3.
Sterilize instruments and clean operatories.
4.
Assist with pediatric patients.
5.
Enter treatment plans and charts into electronic dental records.
6.
Provide preventative dental education as needed.
7.
Perform all duties of a Registered Dental Assistant according to Department of Consumer Affairs, Dental Board of California and Regulations-Chapter 3, Article 5, Section 1086.
8.
Apply pit and fissure sealants if certified to do so.
9.
Responsible for ensuring all daily maintenance procedures are performed and completed
10.
Monitor and maintain equipment on a daily basis.
11.
Assist with front office and other duties as needed.
