Our Sonographer I-CV positionsare critical to the success of St.

Joseph's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. It is expected that our employees demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. TheSonographer I-CV performs and assists in performing a variety of procedures in Echo Lab, stress lab, vascular lab and patient care areas.

Including, adult, pediatric and neonate Echo's, adult TEE's, Dobutamine stress, contrast ECHO, peripheral vascular testing. This position treats / cares for patients of all ages.

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years acute care experience.

  • Must have current certificate for AHA Basic Life Support (CPR).

  • Theoretical background in basic electronics, hemodynamic measurements, exercise stress testing, cardiac sonography and vascular procedures.

PREFERRED:

  • Membership in National Organization for Cardiovascular Technologists is desirable

  • Completion of an approved (AMA) Program for Cardiovascular Technology or other allied health field with Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities Position Summary: The Sonographer II Registered performs a variety of procedures in the Echo lab, stress lab, vascular lab, Patient Care Areas and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories. The Sonographer II Registered provides technical leadership and expert instruction to Certified and Non-Credentialed cardiac sonographers within the ECHO/Cardiovascular Staff. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages. Qualifications Minimum: * ARDMS or CCI * Completion of an approved (AMA) program for Cardiovascular Technology with certificate, ARDMS or CCI registry. * Must have current certificate for AHA Basic Life Support. * Minimum 3 years acute care experience. * Theoretical background in basic hemodynamic measurements, exercise stress testing, * Cardiac adult and pediatric Sonography. * Theoretic understanding is required in Transesophageal Echocardiography, and ECHO stress testing.
