SUMMARY
Provides individual behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and support to their families as directed by the Board Behavior Analyst/Case Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work one-on-one with clients to execute an Individualized Assessment & Behavior Plan developed by a BCBA
Implement effective evidence-based ABA interventions
Serve as the point of direct intervention to the client and family
Participate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team approach
Assist BCBA in implementing social skills groups, reactive behavior groups, and any other group led by the BCBA
Work with children (0-22 yrs.) with a variety of special needs to help children meet their full potential
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) (Required) and/or two years experienced.
QUALIFICATIONS
Medicaid Provider # or ability to get Medicaid number
BLS (Basic Life Support)/CPR Certification or willingness to achieve certification in a face-to-face course.
Reliable transportation and willing to commute a maximum of 25 miles to the client(s) assigned to you.
Strong computer and technology skills
Must speak Fluent English; Bilingual is a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Completes a BACB approved RBT course and keeps registration to the BACB current
Assists BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in an individual setting
Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes
Immediately reports to BCBA/Therapy Supervisor any client incidents/variances or complaints
Adheres to Broward Children's Centers standards, consistently interprets, and accurately performs all assigned responsibilities
Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation and infrequent over tie for routine assignments
Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking skills and decision making
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
CLINICAL DUTIES
Assess client's needs for therapy and provide on-going treatment
Recommend BCC wrap services to clients
Provide classroom support to teachers as needed
In-service appropriate personnel and families in order to implement client goals and behavior plans
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and follow safety rules and instructions. Ability to speak to clients and staff members in a professional manner.
