Job Summary

TERI Inc is looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist to assist our students at our nonprofit, nonpublic school located in Oceanside CA. The majority of our students are on the Autism spectrum. About 60% are nonverbal or partially verbal and rely on AAC. Our students are primarily middle and high school aged and are not diploma bound-most are focusing on learning functional life skills. About 80% of our students receive 1:1 support at school delivered by a Registered Behavior Technician. Students are referred to our school because they are unable to be served in a public-school setting, typically due to behavioral support needs. A typical day for a SLP will include:

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other therapists in the development and delivery of individual student goals.

  • To provide direct individual or group therapy and/or to supervise the delivery of speech and language goals. What you'll need to be successful:

  • High level of professionalism

  • Ability to adapt lessons to the individual.

  • Ability to build rapport and maximize learning.

  • Positive outlook and adaptability We would love it if you:

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology, CCC, and CA State License or RPE.

  • Minimum 2 years acceptable driving history.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check. Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:30 -4:30. Our school is only closed on major holidays, for 1 week during winter break, and for 2 weeks during summer break. Our Extended School Year schedule is a full day rather than the more typical half day.
