The BT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services, following behavior plans developed by a BCBA, modeling behavior techniques for other staff and/or caregivers, and documenting all services within an educational model of practice and any other duties as directed.

Responsibilities

Help student function effectively in the home environment.
Assess areas in which student may require assistance or mental health counseling.
Communicate with parents, teachers and administrators.
Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student issues and progress.
Assist in remediation by providing treatment plans or counseling.
Evaluate student transcripts.
Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process as necessary.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Taking initiative to problem solve situations.
Qualifications
High school diploma required, B.A. in related field preferred
Minimum of two years' experience working with individuals with disabilities including autism, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities and learning disabilities.
Ability to work with IEP team members and follow through with recommendations
Ability to follow directions
