The BT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services, following behavior plans developed by a BCBA, modeling behavior techniques for other staff and/or caregivers, and documenting all services within an educational model of practice and any other duties as directed.

Responsibilities

• Help student function effectively in the home environment.

• Assess areas in which student may require assistance or mental health counseling.

• Communicate with parents, teachers and administrators.

• Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student issues and progress.

• Assist in remediation by providing treatment plans or counseling.

• Evaluate student transcripts.

• Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process as necessary.

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

• Taking initiative to problem solve situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, B.A. in related field preferred

• Minimum of two years' experience working with individuals with disabilities including autism, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities and learning disabilities.

• Ability to work with IEP team members and follow through with recommendations

• Ability to follow directions
